Blogging Ghana gets new directors

Blogging Ghana, an association of Ghanaian bloggers and social media enthusiasts, has appointed new executive directors to lead the association for the next two years.

The new executives are Dela Nyamuame as Chair and in charge of Projects and Collaboration; Naa Oyoo Kumodzi in charge of Strategic Planning; Benjamin Adadevoh in charge of Communications;, Mohammed Ali in charge of Welfare; and Jerome Kuseh in charge of Finance. They take over from Dr Kajsa Hallberg Adu, Nii Ayertey Aryeh and Edward Amartey Tagoe.

Co-founder and outgoing chair, Dr. Kajsa Hallberg Adu, said: “we are a dynamic family at BloggingGhana and I am excited about the new leadership that I know will bring wonderful new initiatives to the Ghanaian online world. We have among the new leadership loyal members and Ghana’s foremost influencers.”

The incoming chair, Dela Nyamuame, said: “I'm excited to be a part of the new leadership team of Blogging Ghana. In the years I've been a member of Blogging Ghana I've had the opportunity to work with them on various projects. We are looking forward to continuing where the outgoing executives left off and add new projects. Sticks in a bundle are unbreakable, we look forward to growing this bundle that is Blogging Ghana and keeping it together. Long live Blogging Ghana.”

Blogging Ghana was founded in 2008 by a group of passionate bloggers and has grown in membership and activities since then. The organization is known for its annual Blogging and Social Media Awards programme as well as Blog Camp, which brings together bloggers and social media enthusiasts to share knowledge and discuss developments in the community.

BloggingGhana is also the successful organiser of citizen engagement projects such as Ghana Decides and Inform Ghana.
