Axim co-operative union donates to Nassiriya school

Axim Road Co-operative Credit Union has presented some items to the Nassiriya Islamic Primary and Junior High School in Takoradi.

The presentation of the items, which include two computers and accessories and two buckets of paints, was part of the union's corporate social responsibility to help raise the standard of living in the communities in which they operate.

Presenting the items, the chairman of the union,  Mrs Aba Smith, said the union’s widow's mite was to help the children in the community to obtain and gain access to quality education, especially in the area of ICT as it had become a prerequisite for good education, employment and life in today's society.

She appealed to the school authorities and the community members who were not members of the Cooperative union to join, so that together they would    develop and raise the commmunity to higher heights.

The Headmaster of the school, Mr Salifu Musah, thanked the union for the kind gesture and appealed to other organisations and institutions to also come to the aid.
