Armed robbers terrorise Top Town residents
Residents of American Farm at Ngleshie Amanfrom were subjected to a night of mass armed robberies last Friday when 15 complete and uncompleted houses were attacked by robbers.

The incident, which lasted almost three hours, saw the robbers making away with various sums, mobile phones, laptops, among other belongings of their victims.
In the course of the attacks, four persons sustained injuries to their heads, arms, thighs and eyes. They were rushed to health facilities at Kasoa and Accra for treatment.
Third attacks
The attacks at American Farm last Friday night were the third major attacks in the area this year.
Armed robbers have had a field day in the area because of the bad nature of the road from the Amanfrom Junction, near Kasoa. Instead of about eight minutes, vehicles now spend about 30 minutes to commute either way.
Victims
A victim of last Friday’s incident, who gave her name only as Yaa, told the Daily Graphic that she was asleep around 2 a.m. when she heard a big bang on her door, adding that she realised that three armed men had used a cement block to break into her house.
“They demanded money and mobile phones and so I gave them all I had,” she said.
Another victim, 20-year-old Atsu, said he was also asleep about 2.15 a.m. when the three robbers broke into his room using a cement block.
The miscreants, he said, made away with his two mobile phones.
According to him, a neighbour had heard the bang on his (Atsu’s) door but he was shot in the face when he tried peeping through Atsu’s window.
He was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital, where he is receiving treatment.
Other victims said their homes were broken into by the robbers with blocks, amid gunshots.
They said they were now living in fear and called for the improvement of the road network and a permanent presence of the police at American Farm and Top Town.
By the time the police arrived in the area about 3.30 a.m., the robbers had escaped with their booty.
