12 year old boy allegedly commits suicide
A class 6 pupil of the Trinity Presbyterian Model School at Korle -Nkwanta in the New Juaben South Municipality on Sunday has allegedly committed suicide.
The 12-year Agyei Tettey Drom-Koda was found hanging on a rag hooked to a window of the uncompleted building within the precinct of their home at Korle -Nkwanta in the New Juaben South Municipality.

The Central Police Command in Koforidua said they are currently investigating the matter because the family of the deceased suspects a foul play in the suicide of the boy.
According to the father of the deceased, the death of his son is not normal, and that the deceased could have been hanged by someone.
Speaking on Star FM, he explained that his son is the most jovial child among all his children. Therefore, if he had any problems he would have communicated to any of them since he is the very loud type.
“He is the jovial type, the rest are quite, and yes he is loud. You will see him playing with other children,” he said.
According to sources, the deceased was rebuked by his mother on a funny hairstyle when they were leaving for church on that Sunday morning.
Confirming from the father of the deceased, he explained that “yes, the big brother told me when they were leaving for church, he cropped a part of his hair. So his mother asked him to go and crop all the hair to be leveled before he comes to church” he noted.
He added that, after church service, one of the deceased elder brothers found him hanged outside.
He said the whole situation surrounding the suicide is a misery.
