Two SHS students win essay contest

Ms Thomisia Dodoo of O’Reilly SHS and Ms Belinda Kumatu of the Trinity SHS have emerged  winners of an essay competition organised by the Women’s Manifesto Coalition (WMC).

The competition was part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the production of the Women’s Manifesto for Ghana, a non-partisan but political document that outlines critical issues of concern to women and makes demands for addressing them.

The Women’s Manifesto also led to the formation of the WMC.

The essay, which was on the topic “The Contributions of women to Ghana’s development: challenges and way forward,” was targeted at senior high school students.
