Students’ association launches week-long celebration

Environmental and Natural Resources Students’ Association of the Presbyterian University College (PUC), Ghana, Akuapem campus, has launched its week-long celebration on the theme: “Conserving the environment, the role of students.”

The event was attended by dignitaries, including former Central Regional Minister, Aquinas Quansah; the Managing Director of Intelikek, Ghana, Colonel Dr Dan Maor (retd); the Dean of the Faculty of Development Studies and Education of the PUC, Ghana, Dr Edward Wiafe, and Miss Goodwill Nigeria, 2017 Climate Change Ambassador, Miss Queen Victoria Udeh.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Quansah encouraged students to help conserve the environment by passing on the knowledge they acquired from school to their communities as part of efforts to protect the environment.

 

For his part, Dr Wiafe underscored the need for the students to join in the national campaign to conserve the environment.
