School of Performing Arts on tour to popularise some literature books

Mr Weittey said the rationale behind the move was to dramatise the play for students to deepen their understanding and put up better their performances in the West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE).
He appealed to the daughter of the late Efo Mawugbe to stop the legal battle with the department since the school had no vested interest in her father's intellectual property.
The director said the daughter placed an injunction on their tour to schools in the Brong-Ahafo Region last year.
On the relevance of the themes espoused by Efo Mawugbe in his work, Mr Weittey said, “it is appropriate as it deals with male chauvinism in society and makes a strong case for women to hold public offices.
Mr Weittey used the occasion to appeal to public spirited organisations and individuals as well as government to sponsor the programme as they were financially constrained.
