Twenty-seven schoolchildren from 30 selected private and public schools, who placed first to third in their terminal exams, received certificates of participation as part of the celebration.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Papaye Fast Foods, Mr Divine Asiedu, advised parents not to resort to spiritual means to ensure that their children excel in life but to encourage them to study and attain grades genuinely.

Mrs Mabel Asigbetse, the Accra Metro Office of the Ghana Education Serivice (GES), urged the schoolchildren to be of good behaviour so as to become responsible adults in future.

Mrs Asigbetse stated that, “when students desist from engaging in negative acts, they will develop acceptable character, which will also play an important role in their overall development”.

The General Services Manager of the Papaye Fast Foods, Mr Samir Kalmoni, asked teachers not to compare the performance of children in their class but to rather, assist the weak students to perform better.

All the participating schools were provided with educational materials, as well as souvenirs from Papaye Fast Foods.
