La Dadekotopon MP visits BECE centres, donates maths set to candidates 

The Member of Parliament (MP) for La Dadekotopon Constituency, Rita Odoley Sowah has toured the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) centres within her constituency to encourage the candidates as they take their first external examinations.

She also donated Mathematical Sets to some 1,009 private school candidates writing the examinations in the constituency.

Interacting with the candidates, Ms. Sowah urged them to put in all efforts to pass the examinations successfully.

She also admonished them to refrain from engaging in examination malpractices that have the potential of marring the efforts and sacrifices their parents and guardians have made to bring them this far.

The MP who was accompanied by the Municipal Director of Education, Madam Habiba Kotoma also encouraged the supervisors at the various centres to execute their responsibilities in a manner that does not intimidate the candidates.

She further wished them well in their examinations and offered prayers for them.

In all, a total of 3,684 candidates drawn from public and private schools within the constituency are taking part in this year's BECE. Out of the number, 2,675 of the candidates are from public schools with the remaining 1,009 drawn from private school in the constituency.
