Embrace online learning - Education consultant advises

An Education Consultant, Ms Caroline Esinam Adzogble, has advised Ghanaians to embrace online learning in addition to the traditional classroom learning.

That, she said, was because globalisation and technology were moving into the digital era and individuals were to take advantage of the new era and remain impactful wherever they found themselves.

"It is okay to study online and not have an in-classroom experience because with the online, you will have control over what you study, when and where you study," she said.

She added that online learning would not only help to eliminate borders and barriers but would also help partakers acquire knowledge relevant in technologically driven market place.

Ms Adzogble, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of an education and training consultancy firm, Caroline Group of Companies, was speaking at a press launch to outdoor some projects of the company in Accra on June 26.

Projects

The projects included an online master class for tertiary students, a high school tour and a television and radio programme to discuss online learning- related issues.

According to her, the education platforms were to provide students the opportunity to get answers to the numerous questions with regards to choice of course, duration and budget when they enrolled on online courses.

Other initiatives, according to her, were a Prison Reforms Programme aimed at improving the livelihood of women in prisons across the country and a conference to probe into challenges faced by women in all sectors and finding appropriate solutions.

Education for all

Ms Adzogble observed that there were people who could not pursue their dream courses because of financial constraint.

“It is my desire to help those faced with financial challenges and do not have the necessary academic qualification to close gaps in their education. I want to see them move on to higher levels on the education ladder,” she added.

Ms Adzogble said her outfit sought to redefine education by making education more accessible and affordable to the average child until there was a “spark in the sector”.

In view of that, she said, the company had given and would continue to give scholarships to thousands of people to study on the group’s online college, Potters International College.

“Everyone is entitled to quality education irrespective of age, race, colour and financial status,” she stressed.

Aside scholarships, Ms Adzogble also said the company would be donating laptops to students at all levels to enhance their studies in technology.

“I look forward to giving out about 10, 000 laptops over the next few months,” she pledged.
