The Jamia Institute is an international Islamic seminary across the world with campuses in Pakistan, United Kingdom, India, Ghana, Canada, Germany, Nigeria, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Tanzania.

Propagate peace

The Vice-Principal of the university, Mirza Khali Ahmad Baig, said the basic aim of training the students was to teach them the peaceful and beautiful teachings of Islam to equip them to serve as ambassadors of peace in the world and therefore called on them to propagate peace.

He explained that according to the prophecies of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, the true and right picture of Islam could only be presented through the Promised Messiah, and for that reason, the students were taught the Holy Quran, which was related to teachings of other religions and how to bring harmony among them.

He further said the graduates had received practical training alongside their education by answering questions asked during a weekly programme broadcast on GTV and various programmes on Muslims Television Ahmadiyya.

He congratulated the graduates and advised them to be humble and to lead others to the right path.

Responsibilities

In a speech delivered on his behalf by the Ameer and Missionary in charge of Ahmadiyya Muslims Mission Ghana, Alhaji Maulvi Noor Muhammad Bin Saleh, the Supreme Head of the World Wide Ahmadiyya Muslims Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, urged the graduates to always be conscious of their increased responsibilities and strive hard to achieve their goals.

He, however, urged them to constantly self introspect and adopt values of reformation and improvement where needed.

He advised them to be selfless, courageous, employ wisdom and show compassion to the people around them.

He also urged them to avoid narcissism and to improve their administrative skills to achieve the task ahead for the jamaat in the future.

Hazrat Masroor entreated them to become righteous models who would bring about revolution in the world.

Exhibit values

In a speech delivered on his behalf by the Director of Religious Affairs at the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Richard Obeng Boafo, the Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Stephen Asamoah Boateng, entreated the graduands to exhibit certainty, initiative, perseverance, humility and passion for the kingdom, lifelong learning and to be resilient to achieve their vision and mission.

He added that the ministry would work to encourage and facilitate inter and intra faith dialogues aimed at fostering peace and religious tolerance.

Again, he said, the ministry was also working on a religious policy and would distribute the draft to religious organisations for their inputs, comments, suggestions and recommendations.

Target youth

The Queenmother of the Mankessim Traditional Area, Nana Ama Amissah III, said the missionaries had a lot of tasks and roles to play, and asked them to focus on putting the youth on the right path.

For her part, the Member of Parliament for Mfantseman, Ophelia Mensah Hayford, congratulated the missionaries and urged them to live exemplary lives.

The Ameer and Missionary in charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ghana, Alhaji Maulvi Noor Muhammad Bin Saleh, distributed the certificates to the Shahid graduates.
