Favour, Rev. Mintah schools win FOGET/GNAPS Quiz

Favour Complex and Rev. Mintah schools have emerged winners of the 2017 contest of the Foundation for Generational Thinkers (FOGET) Inter-school Quiz for private basic schools in Accra.

Favour Complex School won the junior high school (JHS) category of the contest while Rev. Mintah School won the primary school event.

Favour School won with 35 points while Josephus Memorial School came second with 34 points with the Debest Academy coming third with 31 points while the Sowa Boye Memorial School came fourth with 18 points.

At the primary level, Rev. Mintah Educational Complex topped with 54 points with Astonishing International School coming second with 47 points. the Glorious Grace International School took the third place with 44 points.

Favour school had a desk top flat screen computer and a trophy. Each of the contestants from the winning schools was presented with a certificate of participation and assorted books. The second and the third places had a Laser jet printer each while each contestant also had a certificate and book prizes.

For the primary schools, Rev. Mintah Educational Complex took home a flat screen television, certificates of participation for each of the contestants and books for placing first.

The second placed school, Astonishing International School, had a lasser jet printer with each of the contestants receiving a certificate of participation and books.
For its part, the Glorious Grace International School received a standing fan and a certificate for each contestants as well as books.

The President of FOGET, Mr Prosper Afetsi, commended the participating schools for the knowledge they exhibited throughout the competition.

The competition, which was supported by the Greater Accra Zone Five of the Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS), had a total of 33 basic schools participating.  

The contestants were tested in Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and the life and legacy of Dr Kwegyir Aggrey.
