CUC students excel in “Good Life Game Show” competition

 The award winners of Game Show Season Four.The “Good Life Game Show”, an educative and entertaining game show on television, has once again come to an end amid fierce competition in Season Four.

Dela Akwetey, a Level 300 student of the Central University College (CUC), beat his final competitor by one point to emerge as the Season Four grand prize winner. He took home a cash prize of GH¢5,000 and an array of Good Life souvenirs. Robert Appiah, also of Central University College, took the second position, winning GH¢2000 and souvenirs. Doreen Dombo and Harold Nii Amponsah, both from the University of Ghana, Legon, placed third and fourth respectively and took home GH¢1000 each.

The Good Life Game Show forms part of Ghana Health Services’ (GHS) “Good Life: Live it Well” campaign and is supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with technical support provided by the Behaviour Change Support (BCS) Project.

The acting Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Ebenezer Appiah-Denkyira, was full of praise for the Good Life Game Show and the campaign in general.

He encouraged all Ghanaians to be mindful of their health and take simple steps to ensure they stayed healthy and enjoyed their “good life”.

During the event, contestants were quizzed by show host Johnnie Hughes on topics such as malaria, family planning, nutrition and water and sanitation.

The Game Show also gave an opportunity for viewers at home to be part of the competition, with 10 lucky viewers winning mobile phones through texting the correct answers to the short code 176.
