Assembly orders evacuation of students — to avert disaster due to cracked dormitory block.

“We are already confused”, the distressed headmistress noted, adding that, the students were forced to wander on the compound.

The Anum Presbyterian Senior High School had transformed from a Presbyterian boys’ middle school into a teacher training college and then to a senior high school in 1971 and is located off the Eastern Corridor road near Peki in the Volta Region and also located on top of a hill overlooking part of the Volta lake.

Mrs Gadagbui-Dzadey said the school building was now a threat to life and had alerted stakeholders who advised the students to vacate the block.

“The resultant pressure is affecting every aspect of academic life on campus because it had compelled us to push the students to the dining hall for classes, an embarrassing situation that the dining hall has been converted into classrooms and now they are having meals under trees”, Mrs Gadagbui-Dzadey lamented.
