New lawyer narrates her 11 year rocky, slippery, muddy, patch, tough, bumpy journey to the Bar

My time at the Law faculty was very eventful...to cut it short...I got married, had my first 3 babies within the 3 year Law programme, (please don't look at me like thatߙ蠡nd yes I was super stressful)...

Unexpected joy at dawn… My 11 year rocky, slippery, muddy, patchy, tough, bumpy journey to the bar ended November 11, 2022.

Kindly stay with me as I take you guys through these past 11 years of my pursuit of a career in this noble Profession.

The joy I felt at dawn, barely a day old at the Bar.... was such a sweet joy, delightful-joy, an unexpected joy, because for the very first time in 11 years I woke up without a panic, without any anxiety, without any fear of failing an exam, but rather with pure JOY...

11 years ago, in 2011 after I graduated from UG with a BA in English, I applied to the Law faculty in UG to further my studies. I successfully passed the entrance, was over-the-moon excited but this excitement was shortlived when after the selection interview I failed to make the final pass list. Hmm, sad. But little did I know that this was the beginning of many rough steps towards the Bar.

In 2012, I applied again, passed the entrance exam but failed at the selection interview. OMG....

2013 was yet another failure, this time, and unlike the two previous years, I didn't even pass the entrance exam...wow..

Everyone reading this, kindly follow to the end....to say that a brute has awakened in a man, is not a mere metaphor.... 3 years of my life wore on and I was suddenly awakened by the striking clock of passing years, so I decided to try other Law Faculties...same 2013, in October I gained admission into the law faculty of the MountCrest University for Post First Degree LLB . HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF....

My time at the Law faculty was very eventful...to cut it short...I got married, had my first 3 babies within the 3 year Law programme, (please don't look at me like thatߙ蠡nd yes I was super stressful)...

Academic frustrations, pregnancies, post-partum depression, babies, having to leave the exam hall every 30 minutes to breastfeed a 3 day old baby at the car park....This could only be God...

Finally, Law faculty was over, an LLB certificate and 3 babies...

Then came the roughest, toughest Road I have ever and will ever travel...entrance exam into the Ghana School of Law took me through 3 consecutive years, 2018 - 2020 (I would leave out the level of frustration, tears, disappointments, panic-attacks in my 3 year attempts to enter into the Law school, to your imagination)...

In 2020, I had my baby no. 4 and immediately preceding the 2020 Law Sch entrance exam.....

It is however worthy of note that, when God plans for you, absolutely nothing can take it away.

I finally gained admission into Law School, finally...hallelujah....my life in the law was filled with super- high determination, hard work, dedication and above all, reliance on the Almighty God....(when you pass through "Makola"(Law School) you would realise that IEC & the GLC have a special way to making students draw closer to God or whatever binds on your conscience, because you would have to rely entirely on your God even as you study every minute of the two years period. Lol

My hardwork, perseverance, determination, resilience has been crowned ߑᠢy none other then Jehovah Yaweh.

And now, I pray for much more stronger spirit of determination, hardwork and a much closer relationship with God as I take my first step into the most noble Profession, so help me God.

I wouldn't want to go into the feelings as a student in law School, because life there is better experienced than told....

To the glory of God a journey of 11 solid years ended with so praise to God on November 11, 2022.

To God be all the glory.

Hey darling, yes, you, never you give up on something you so much desire and never you forget the GOD factor........be inspired and motivated, never let any situation stop you from reaching THERE.....

The joy I felt shall never end.....I shall experience this joy every dawn.

Thank you
