Christmas picks for all

The Christmas season is here and you cannot afford to be shabbily dressed. No matter the situation you find yourself in, you have to go to church, dinner, date, party or any of the events lined up in your best.

I know some of you have already done your Christmas shopping; therefore, you know what to wear at any time during these festivities. If you couldn't get yourself a new dress or shoe due to the current economic challenges, don't fret; there are better days ahead.

You can go through some of your old clothes, I believe there are some you wore just once and never went for them again in your wardrobe. If it is a skirt and top, you can decide to wear the skirt and select another nice top from your old clothes that can go with it just to give it a new look. If it is a dress, try changing the accessories and shoes and you would go out with friends and families looking gorgeous.

 The holidays are an opportunity to be a little more daring than usual with your makeup looks. You can go full-on glitter crazy and try on that vibrant eyeshadow you’ve always been too afraid to flaunt with lipsticks to match. Please don't overdo it, so as not to look like a caricature.

When it comes to hairstyles, if you have already braided your hair or have natural locks, you can style it yourself or go to a salon for a decent wrap. Those with permed hair must ensure they have gone for a touch-up to relax the new growth. By doing so, you can have a beautiful ponytail or any other style you feel like going in for.

It is good to choose clothing colours that blend in with your complexion. If you are light-skinned, go in for darker tones. For darker complexions, opt for light-shade clothing. Always consider the occasion and dress age appropriately. Fashion should always bring out the best in your look.
