The two, who took home sports kits and other souvenirs from the sponsors as prizes, were among 50 students from basic and second cycle schools, who participated in a one-week camp organised by the Royalty Sports Academy Foundation (RoSAF), a non-governmental organisation.

The camp was meant to bring the students together under one roof for grooming and athletic development as they prepared for the next academic year.

The week-long basketball and soccer camp saw the students, who came from the Mary Mother of Good Counsel, St Bernadette Soubirous, Dansoman, Ridge Church, Christ The King, Queensland International, Wesley Girls, Adisadel College and the Mfantsipim School going through daily dribbling sessions, footwork, shooting, strength and IQ conditioning among others.

On the final day of the camp, the participants were divided into four groups for a basketball competition where they displayed excellent skills to the admiration of the spectators after which Suguri and Odoi were crowned the best players.

The event was sponsored by HFC Bank and Vit’s Noodles.
