The event was to assist the pupils fashion out the professions they would want to pursue in future. The theme for the day was Nurturing Young Brains.

During the ceremony, pupils and students of the school dressed as doctors, nurses, army officials, police and fire service officers.

Teachers took turns to explain the work of the various professions, which included engineering and teaching.

A Dental Surgeon of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Hospital at Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region, Dr Samuel Omane-Boadi, explained the duties of a dental surgeon and urged the schoolchildren to take their studies seriously.

A midwife at the Sanford International Clinic at Adenta in Accra, Mrs Rita Omane-Boadi, advised the schoolchildren to avoid things that were likely to distract them from their studies and strive to achieve the goals they set for themselves.

The School Administrator and Proprietress, Mrs Annie Asamoah, asked the schoolchildren to respect their teachers because all professionals achieved their dreams because they respected teachers who taught them and also worked hard.

“With the help of a teacher and some effort of the student, a child can achieve his or her dream of becoming whatever he or she wants in future,” she said.

She explained that the occasion was meant to provide the children with knowledge about the various professions so that they could decide what they wanted to be in future.
