He said it was important for all stakeholders including teachers, students and parents to play their part to raise the standard of education in the area.

Nene Benta, who is also the Mankralo of the Prampram Traditional Council, made the call when he launched the 10th anniversary celebration and speech and Prize-giving Day of the Prampram Senior High School.

Prampram Senior High School was established on October 25, 2005 as a private educational facility to offer second-cycle education to the youth in the Prampram community and was absorbed by the government in 2010.

Nene Benta said although the first batch of students did not have very good grades, the teachers made remarkable strides in assisting them to perform well.

The Headmistress of the school, Mrs Effua A.D. Amuah, said the mission of the school was to prepare the students to achieve the best in life.

According to her, Prampram Senior High School is committed to ensuring that every student who passes through the institution is well educated.

She said the school, which moved to its new site recently, faced infrastructural problems and needed immediate intervention to ensure an effective teaching and learning environment for all students.
