This was after he had observed that some of the pupils attended school in tattered uniforms, which could have a psychological effect on their studies.

Mr Adrah, who is also the Managing Director of Stevens Hotel in Ho, said he became concerned when he visited his alma mater and saw the state in which the children were, adding  that he hoped the donation would motivate them to study hard.

The Headmaster of the school, Mr Prosper Fornyikpor, said the philanthropist’s kind act was an indirect call to all past students of the school to join forces to uplift the image of their alma mater.

He urged the schoolchildren to be motivated by the kind gesture and study seriously to score good grades.

The Chairman of the parent-teacher association (PTA), Mr Thompson Adoboe, praised Mr Agrah for the donation and encouraged others to emulate the gesture.

The Chief of the town, Togbe Akorli III, said the school had gone through several challenges but had been able to contain them and survived till today.
