Safety protocols not working in my area

Dear Editor, The people in my area are not observing the safety protocols at all. When you go to Zongo Junction, Accra, where I live, it’s business as usual.

You will see people gathered in small groups without any nose masks and not standing at considerable distances away from one another, chatting and laughing as if there is nothing at stake.

Some parents do not even ensure that their children put on the nose masks when they are among people or going out.

Food sellers and other vendors are the worst culprits as they go about their business of selling and collecting money.

People do not use sanitisers and wash their hands very often.

They behave as if they don't know what is going on in Ghana and all over the world.

The few who use the nose masks place them under their chin and walk around with it.

There is no one to ensure people wear the nose masks and this is a great worry to me.
