For some schools, it was a joyful moment while to others it was a painful experience as the trophy for the National Junior Graphic Fan Club Spelling Competition for the second time went to Kabore School Complex in Ho.
Kabore School, which won the maiden contest last year, beat Wesley International School, Koforidua; T.I. Ahmadiyya Basic ‘B’ JHS, Kumasi; SOS Hermann Gmeiner School, Tema and Perpetual Help School, New Achimota, Accra, with 68 points to retain the trophy.
For emerging as champions, each of the three contestants received a Samsung tablet, educational materials from Mayan Books Centre and a Sage knapsack.
The winning school received a trophy, a desktop computer, a dictionary and a whiteboard.
For taking the second position, the contestants from Wesley International School received a Samsung tablet each, educational materials from Mayan Books Centre, a knapsack from Sage Judacan Books and a whiteboard for the school.
T.I. Ahmadiyya Basic ‘B’ JHS, which placed third, also received three Samsung tablets, educational materials from Mayan Books Centre, a Sage knapsack for the contestants while the school had a whiteboard.
The National Junior Graphic Fan Club Spelling Competition is sponsored by SIC Insurance and Sage Judacan Books.
