The Volta Queens Association for Social Development has donated learning materials to the St Joseph Pre-School at Nkwanta in the Volta Region.
It was the fourth presentation made by the association aimed at supporting the government to raise the standard of education of children at the kindergarten level.
Making the presentation, the Paramount Queen of the Logba Traditional Area, Mamaga Agume Kosiba V, said the association had designed several schemes to assist communities in the fields of health, sanitation, education and other related sectors for the advancement of the communities.
She said as queens, they would be involved in the development of amenities in the various communities and not only sit in state to be glorified and adored by their subjects.
The Nkwanta-North District Director of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Mr Maxwell Gbakah, who received the learning materials on behalf of the school, said it was a great gesture by the queens to assist in the education of toddlers.
