A statement issued and signed by the Chief Executive Officer of Parables Publication, Mr Cycil Jones Abban, said there would also be an animated movie during roadshows in selected regions in the country.

“The newspaper edition will involve fun games and activities through which children will get to learn certain key historical facts about the 28th February crossroads shooting in 1948,” the statement said.

It added that there would be lots of prizes, including tickets to watch the animated movie recapturing the shooting event.

The vacation promo is also part of the build-up promo for the May 25 screening, and there will be interactive sessions with the audience in Accra to coincide with the African Union (AU) Day celebration which is on the same day.

The statement pointed out that “the AU Day celebration event is intended to inspire the younger generation and restructure their thought processes to align with the new African perspective of storytelling and folk music.

It will also create ways to help us achieve the true African unity we've yearned for”.

The 28th crossroads movie is Ghana's first animated feature film that recaptures an important part of Ghana’s political history.

It is produced by Parables Studio, in collaboration with animation Africa. It’s a 50-minute movie directed by Mr Abban.
