Increase support for children’s education

The Deputy Public Relations Officer of Ghana Education Service (GES), Mr Anthony Kwaku Amoah, has urged parents to increase their support for their children’s education. That, he said, would give their children the peace of mind to concentrate on their studies to achieve quality education.

Mr Amoah was speaking when he donated a carton of 50 boxes of chalk to the Metsrikasa D/A Basic School in Akatsi North District.

“A parent can adopt a class, whether he or she has a child in that class or not and pay occasional visits to donate basic items such as stationery to the pupils to enhance teaching and learning,” he added.

The Circuit Supervisor of the area, Mr James Agbenorlawodze, said schools in the circuit would continue to partner stakeholders so as to provide quality education for the benefit of pupils.

The Headmistress of the school, Madam Mary Ganyo, who received the items, expressed her gratitude to the PRO and appealed for textbooks and computers for the school.
