Help children identify their temperaments

Parents have been urged to seek the necessary knowledge to help their children identify their temperaments as they mature into adulthood.

This, it is hoped, will shape children mentally to help them make the right choices in life as they come face to face with the realities of the world.

Mrs Ethel Marfo, the Chief Executive Officer of Tod-to-Teen Republic, a youth focused non-governmental organisation (NGO) with the objective of empowering and equipping young boys with the necessary knowledge and skills to enable them tackle life’s challenges, made these remarks at the second mentoring clinic of the NGO.

“Knowing the temperament one has will enable him or her to make the perfect career decisions which will eventually help him or her pursue his or her dream in the positive direction. This will also enable teachers and guardians know how to handle a particular child,” she noted.

Mrs Marfo noted that there were various types of temperaments which had been broadly grouped into four:sanguine, choleric, melancholic and phlegmatic.
