The best way to secure the future of children is to give them quality education, the Business Manager of the Holy Trinity Lutheran School (HTLS) in Kumasi, Mr Kwaku Darkwa, has said.
According to him, quality education would not only provide children with knowledge but would also equip them with employable skills and empower them to contribute meaningfully towards nation building.
Speaking at the 2015 graduation ceremony of the school, dubbed: “40 Years of Excellence in the Delivery of Quality and Transformational Education,” Mr Darkwa said in its quest to equip future leaders who passed through their institution, the school had employed teaching techniques that included academic debates, group discussions, role plays, case studies, presentations, seminars and formal classroom delivery.
That approach, he said, brought the world into the classroom and allowed students to have real life experiences with principles, concepts and models to support and challenge their young minds.
The core values of the school, he said, were to enable children to become critical thinkers, to be digitally literate and understand the cyber world.
The Business Manager, however, urged JHS graduates to be good ambassadors of HTLS and testify to the world the exceptional education and training they had acquired during their stay in the school.
