Emulate people with exemplary lifestyles

The Ghana Education Service (GES) Circuit Supervisor for Ashanti New Town in Kumasi, Nana Takyiwaa Endurance, has advised pupils to emulate people with exemplary lifestyles and make them their role models.

That, she said, would help motivate them to lead good moral lives and be useful citizens to their families and the nation.

Nana Takyiwaa was speaking at the ninth Graduation and Open Day of the Saint Louis Demonstration Roman Catholic  Junior High School at Mbrom, a suburb of Kumasi.

She said “choosing a good role model would help you aspire to greater heights in life and assist you to be of good morals”.

Established in 1977, the school has trained more than 7,500 people, who are currently holding various leadership positions in the country.

A total of 259 graduates, who sat the recent Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), were present at the programme. Most of them were presented with various awards in recognition of their achievements in academic work, sports, leadership, among others.

Nana Takyiwaa advised the students to be disciplined at all times because that would shape their lives for the future.

The Headmistress of the school, Madam Millicent C. Otoo, commended the staff of the school as well as its management for their efforts to ensure the maintenance of academic excellence.

She cited the various achievements chalked up by the school and pledged to continue to work hard to ensure that the school continued to be among the best in the Kumasi metropolis.
