The Emmosek Basic School has celebrated African Union (AU) Day with a call on African leaders to stay united.
The event had parents and teachers display some musical talents with unique songs and dancing.
The children had the opportunity to showcase the cultures of the countries they represented and gave some brief history about their tradition.
In honour of the AU Day, the schoolchildren also showcased the various African flags in a well-staged choreography.
The AU was formed when a group of African leaders came together to establish the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which is now known as African Union (AU).
The countries included Ghana, Nigeria, Malawi, Morroco, Libya, Algeria, Swaziland, Kenya, Togo, Cameroon, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Niger and Chad, among others.
At the end of the programme, all the representatives declared that ‘we are one people created by God and politics must not divide us, as the AU was formed to bring Africans together politically to deal with colonialism and fight for our independence’.
The Director of the Emmosek School, Mr Daniel Tetteh said, without hard work and unity Africa could not move forward as a region.
