The second annual Children’s Arts Festival organised by the Devio Arts Centre has been held in Accra.
The one-day festival was on the theme: ‘’Sanitation and recycling.’’
This year’s event saw children from different schools and communities participating in various creative activities.
Some of the activities included paper sculpture, comic illustrations, ceramics, recycling activities and the Paddington adventure activities.
In an interview with the Junior Graphic, the Founder of the Devio Arts Centre, Mrs Lily Kudzro, said the aim of the festival was to support children and nurture their creative skills with various creative programmes.
She said aside acquiring a new creative skill; the children could also have fun at the end of the day since it served as a source of entertainment too.
According to her, whatever the children created that day they were made to take them home.
Prizes were given to the children who excelled in the Paddington adventure activities.
