BONANZA card game introduced

Daffodils Games and Publishing, in partnership with Vivo Energy Ghana, is offering a challenging but fun educational learning experience to students using the BONANZA card game.

This will be achieved through practical smart plays and competitions dubbed “Vivo Energy Ghana BONANZA Inter Schools Challenge (VEGH BSC)”. The game is to serve as an added advantage for classroom learning.

Ms Masha Bashiru of the Public Relations and Marketing Unit of the company explained that the VEGH BSC would be an annual competition to stimulate mental skills and the love for maths among students in basic schools.

She said students who played the game would sharpen their arithmetic, critical thinking and problem solving skills, adding that those from basic schools will compete as teams at the intra and inter-school levels.

“It is a good idea, therefore, for teachers and parents to use real world examples to ignite a spark of practical interest in learning maths for young minds,” she added.

Ms Bashiru said practical learning was a priority area for Daffodils GP and an important foundation that every child deserved; hence, the initiative.
