Ghana’s democracy is exemplary – Francois Hollande
French President Francois Hollande has commended the people of Ghana for successfully voting to choose a leader, describing Ghana as an exemplary democratic country.
A
brief letter signed by President Hollande also congratulated
President-elect John Dramani Mahama on his victory, while assuring
president Mahama of continuous support from the French government to
deepen democracy in Ghana.

Mr. President,
As
I learn that the Electoral Commission announced your victory at the
presidential election, it is a great pleasure for me to address to you
my deepest congratulations.
For the French people, Ghana represents an exemplary democratic country.
I
am convinced that, led by you, your country will go on reinforcing the
rule of law and dialogue between all Ghanaians as well as maintaining a
high level of development.
I wish to go further in the partnership between France and Ghana and I would be pleased to welcome you in Paris.
Please accept, Mr. President, the assurances of my highest consideration.
