Accra Hearts of Oak continue to be busy in the transfer market despite the absence of local football with Ibrahim Larry Sumaila as their latest addition.
The Rainbow club captured the defender who was a former player of Greece Super League side, PAOK FC.
Sumaila becomes the latest player to be recruited by Coach Kim Grant since taking over as manager of the club in December, 2018.
The defender would join others such as Charles MacCarthy, Richmond Ayi, Dominic Eshun and Mohammed Alhassan as the new players who have been drafted into the club by the new manager to beef up his squad ahead the upcoming competition by the Normalisation Committee.
Sumaila’s recruitment was announced by the club on their social media handle but they failed to disclose details of the contract terms only to say that the player had joined on a long term basis.
“Sumaila has signed a long term deal with @HeartsOfOakGH”, the club's twitter handle read.
The defender who also had some stint in Egypt and Greece was reported to have joined the Rainbow club on a free transfer.
Sumaila, has been training with the Phobians for some time now before he finally committed his future to the club on a long term deal.
Hearts of Oak who officially welcomed the player to the club expressed their excitement to have captured him and stated that they were ready to work with him.
