Poor services from Education, Health Services

That also informs statements to the effect that “se wo nsa simu a yenni nnyawo,” to wit when your hand is in the food, you cannot be left out, or put another way, “Se wo nua ne Memuna a kose nnhia wo” meaning if your sister is Memuna who fries koose, you should not lack the delicacy.

The Ghana Education Service and the Ghana Health Service are two public bodies managed by professional teachers and health workers.

Almost all director-generals of the two institutions have practised at the grass roots before moving into management and administration.

Therefore, when it comes to the welfare and interests of the workers, the expectation is that the two bodies will fight for their members based on their own expectations and frustrations when they served as classroom teachers or health workers.
