Zone 36 goes digital
After providing quality, student friendly content on radio and television, Zone 36 is going beyond campuses from Tuesday, July 28, with a new logo which represents what the brand has grown to become.

In addition to that, plans are under way to launch a 24-hour music Channel Zone 36 and go digital as well.
In a chat with Showbiz, Mr Quabena Kevin, CEO of Fountain House Productions, owners of Zone 36 said, “the move was necessitated because we are entering a new dimension now. People knew us to be just a campus show on TV but we have moved to a bigger brand.
“ Plans are under way to launch our 24 hour music Channel Zone 36, thus our new logo. The ‘Z’ in the new logo represents the zone; the zone because of where we find ourselves. The ‘36’ represents the global nature of our brand.
“ Besides being a 24 hour music channel, one of our major activities is to promote tourism. A lot of our TV stations have very little tourism content, thus our creative team here at Fountain House is poised to deliver quality television content dedicated to boosting our tourism sector”, he added.
According to him, “our channel will be similar to MTV Base and Trace TV and we have began plans to be a digital channel so we cover some of Africa’s celebrated events like the Channel O Music Awards and the MAMAs and we are gradually getting there.
“Zone 36 is not just a TV brand, we are also going to launch our all music website, clothing line amongst others all geared towards the new brand we are building,” he added.
On his part, Kwadwo Amoah, Head of Public Relations for Channel Zone 36 also said, “it’s a nice move we are taking, we decided to rebrand so Ghanaians and our target audience will see that we have moved beyond what they knew us for.
“ The new logo reflects what we at Zone 36 believe in. We are now a global brand and as such, our programmes will be refreshing to cut across all ages but most especially we will be targeting the youth.
“The station will soon announce a date for auditions where fresh talents will be scouted to help push the new television experience,” he added.
