Wiyaala in concert at +233

She is a young woman on the loose for global attention and the Wa-born singer-songwriter, Wiyaala, will demonstrate some of the elements that have made her such a hot property on the international circuit at a concert on Saturday, September 19,  at the +233 Jazz Bar and Grill in Accra.

She will be backed at the 9.00pm show by her Djimba World Band. Wiyaala started catching attention here and outside the shores of Ghana two years ago when she split from the Black N Peach group.

She has since become a well-known name to music lovers and her self-titled debut album came out late last year.

 Singing fluently in English and her native Sisaala, Wiyaala has been praised for her fascinating stage act and powerful voice. Songs in her repertoire include Make Me Dance, Rock My Body, You Got The Power and Angel.

“Our highly discerning patrons have been asking for a night devoted solely to Wiyaala and her band and we thought this was an appropriate moment to satisfy that request,” Programmes Director at +233, Nana Nyarko Ackah-Yensu, told Showbiz.
