Winners of The Mirror Kitchen Makeover receive prizes

The kitchen of Joseph Kafui  Augustt, an ardent reader of The Mirror newspaper, has been fully furnished at the cost of GH¢17, 000 for emerging as the overall winner in the maiden edition of The Mirror Kitchen Makeover Promotion 2015.

The 12 weeks promotion, which received entries from the entire country, saw Mr Augustt, a resident of Labone, emerged the overall winner with nine others also receiving various prizes.

The  participants were required to write a short story on why they needed a kitchen makeover which was then vetted by a panel. The winners selected were presented with their prizes at a short ceremony at the Head Office Graphic Communication Group Limited in Accra, last Wednesday.

 

Beaming, the visibly happy Mr Augustt, thanked the company  for initiating such a promotion to reward its ardent readers.

“Initially, I thought it was not real but my friend convinced me and lo and behold I have won. I’m grateful that  The Mirror does not only produce good content for its consumers but also reward them as well,” he said.

He ,however, suggested to the paper to make the promotion a regular feature and present the award to the winners as quickly as possible.

Ms Patience Nutakor, who placed third in the competition and took home a microwave oven, was full of praise to The Mirror family.

Other winners

Emmanuella Naa Aklerh and Josephine Fafa Tsegah, a residents of Tema Community 22 also placed  second and fourth, respectively.

 Other winners are Rabiat El-Alawal from New Gbawe, Joyce Agyin Asante from the University for Development Studies, Tamale and Angela Brobbey from Kumasi

The rest are Owusu Tweneboah,Tarkwa; Robert C. Ansah,Takoradi and Ewurama Danquah of Cape Coast

All the winners received various prizes ranging from microwave ovens, stoves, food warmers, plate racks and rice cookers valued at GH¢ 3,950 which were sponsored by Latina Investment, VY Canories, Melcom Ghana Limited and Majories.

She said the company believed in empowering its readers through the various products  and urged consumers to keep faith with the brand.

Ms Acquaah Harrison said the company would initiate more promotions in future as a way of rewarding its reader and also giving back to society.
