Willie and Mike on Presence tour
After successfully celebrating 20 years in the gospel music fraternity last year, gospel duo, Willie and Mike has ‘transported’ the celebration to the US with a tour in California.

The tour dubbed, the ‘Presence Tour 2016’, which started last week has already seen the Favour singers perform at the California branch of the Church of Pentecost during its Easter convention last Friday at the Sheraton Hotel.
Though this is not their first time taking their ministry outside the shores of the country, Mike speaking on behalf of the group told Showbiz they are elated to have the ‘California experience’.
“This is our first time performing in California. In addition to the Easter performance, we would also be performing in concerts in Atlanta, Ohio, New York, Chicago, Toronto and Canada.
“ That’s not all, we would be giving treats to homeless citizens by feeding them, treat them to music as well as use the opportunity to preach the word of God to them,’’ he added.
Made up of Asamoah Williams (Willie) and Adomako Michael, the Kumasi based group started off as members of a singing group, Divine Melodians in Kumasi.
Their desire to groom a worthy generation in their time saw them preach at various public places in Kumasi.
But they took the “mission” to a wider audience when they launched their first album Mempene. Another album, Covenant Keeping God, shot them to fame and since then, the two young men haven’t looked back.
Some of the albums they have to their credit are Nkomhye (prophecy), Covenant Keeping God, Favour and Presence.
