WHAT’S ON: All Christmas & New Year events in Ghana (DATES/TIMES)

Scanning through the tall list of events taking place this end of the year season, it's incredible to see a record number of events being produced for this year, even as the COVID-19 pandemic is still here with us!

Many of the events are big crowd pullers and really fun. Unfortunately, in these uncertain times, all these great events are super spreaders too. If you must attend, do keep safe by keeping your mask on at all times. Do frequently step away and catch some air, especially, if the event is indoors

The usual staples are on the list. Aphrochella, Polo Beach Club. But there are a good number of new entries too. Like Wildaland, taking place in the Shai Hills Reserve.

Published inside the flagship Daily Graphic, the Graphic Traveller is produced in collaboration with storytelling and tourism brand, Bentsifi, and covers all the hip events and activities taking place around the country, serving as a compendium on culinary, entertainment, as well as tours.

Over the past two years, the Graphic Traveller has packed some crisp and insightful narratives which highlight current trends in leisure, retail and lifestyle.

Curated by PaJohn Bentsifi Dadson, it serves as a fresh vanguard for the tourism and hospitality industry, and although limited to a page owing to the downsizing of the Daily Graphic during these COVID times, there are plans to increase its number of pages to become the beacon for news and an advertising outlet for the industry. You may, however, visit www.bentsifi.com for more listings, news and tourism information.

Do enjoy the season. We have selected some of the best events happening around town. Note that under Theatre, the Roverman Festival of Plays scripted by the foremost playwright, "Uncle" Ebow Whyte, are cantata style stage presentations packed with humour reflecting contemporary Ghanaian society and lifestyles with music and dance interludes. If you can, do check one out.

Have fun as you participate in all the activities, and also remember to practice safe COVID-19 protocols. Have a good one. See you in the new year.
