Tehilla Experience is here again

It has been an annual event to bring the biggest acts in the gospel fraternity onto one stage and this year will be no different when award winning gospel artiste, Ohemaa Mercy, and her colleagues delight patrons at this year’s Tehilla Experience concert.

The concert which will come off at the  International Central Gospel Church, Calvary Temple, on Sunday, August 6, will have gospel  artistes such as veteran musician, Elder Mireku, Francis Amo, Ceccy Twum, Cecilia Marfo, Bro. Philemon, Minister Ramzy and Uncle Ato.

Speaking at the press launch last week, Mr. Twum Ampofo, CEO of Royalty Music and Unique Brands Communication, organisers of the worship concert, said that Tehillah which means “praise, adoration and thanksgiving” is designed to fulfill the spiritual needs of people.

Dubbed, “The Cross Effect”, this year’s show which is the fourth in the series is anticipated to attract a wide variety of patrons to worship the Maker.

In an interview with Showbiz, Ohemaa Mercy said it’s important to bring the peace and development of the country to God in prayers and that is what Tehilla Experience expects to achieve.

“It’s my target to transform many lives which has been the goal of this spiritual exercise since its inception four years ago,” the Edin Jesus singer said.

Ohemaa Mercy released her first album, Adamfo Papa, in 2004 which earned her seven nominations for the 2006 Ghana Music Awards.

She, however, did not win any of the awards but made up for the loss when she won the Discovery of the Year at the Gospel Music Awards the same year.

In 2008, she won the Gospel Artiste of the Year, Album of the Year and Gospel Album of The Year at the Ghana Music Awards with her second album, Edin Jesus.

That is not all. That same year, she was honoured with a Grand Medal at the National Honours Award from the then President of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor.
