The music outreach, which was instituted four years ago, is aimed at nurturing young music talents and win souls for God at the same time and this year’s edition is bringing together over 30 new musicians under a mentorship programme.

The Zonal Pastor for Christ Embassy, East, West and Central Africa Zone 5, Pastor Ernest Omoleme said the 2017 edition will be different from the previous years with the addition of a one-day career development training programme dubbed: “My Call, My Career.”

Again, the new musicians, who are currently undergoing training, will get the opportunity to perform alongside other international artistes at a big SOV Concert.

“Apart from the main artistes, we have new members singing their own songs. It is our responsibility to give them the platform to showcase their talents and encourage them to continue.

“When we succeed in this, we would have given the youth the foundation to develop and be independent,” Pastor Omoleme said.

The Chairman of SOV 2017, Pastor Kwesi Minta, said considering the Gospel music talents that the church has produced, including Sinach, Frank Edwards, Eben and South

African dynamo Martin Phike, this year’s event would be a huge success.

A number of big names are expected to perform at the event and they will be led by award winning Nigerian singer, Ada whose songs like Only You, I Overcame, I Testify have touched lives around the world.

She will be joined by acts like Buchi, Damusic and Obi Shine.
