MUSIGA has been on a STAR-Ghana-sponsored crusade to promote peaceful campaigns and voting at the next general elections expected to happen in November.

Apart from putting out songs by its members calling for peace, the union is also preaching peace at the grassroots level across the country.

So far the MUSIGA Peace walks and forums have taken place in Tamale, Bolgatanga, Wa, Sunyani, Cape Coast, Ho and Takoradi.  At each forum, influential personalities and opinion leaders are given the chance to call for peace.

After the Koforidua event, the MUSIGA peace train will head to the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi on July 28 and climax in Accra on August 20.

MUSIGAA’S Director of Communications and Special Projects, Ahuma Bosco Ocansey says the walks have been largely successful and urged all Ghanaians to be law-abiding before, during and after the elections.
