Miss Malaika 22 finals tomorrow
After 13 weeks of friendly competitions, education, evictions, cheers, tears and joy, the grand finale of Miss Malaika Ghana 22 is set to come off tomorrow, November 12, at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre.
The night which will be a display of culture, talent, intelligence, music and finesse by the 10 contestants will be hosted by radio and television presenter, Naa Ashorkor.
Dubbed ‘Homecoming’, the judges for the finale are the 2010 Miss Malaika winner, Ama Sarpong, 2013 Miss Malaika winner Naa Oyoe Quartey, renowned fashion designer and radio host, Kofi Okyere Darko, radio and television host, Berla Mundi and tourism curator, Paa John.
This year’s edition is labeled the ‘Emerald Season’ and it also coincides with the 20th anniversary celebration of the Miss Malaika brand.
Subsequently, the winner at the end of the night will take home a car, cash prize and will obtain the bragging rights as the Miss Malaika Emerald Queen.
Apart from the display of talents, culture and intelligence, the finale will be characterised by performances from Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year, KiDi, new sensation, Lasmid, the “Down Flat” hit maker, Kelvynboy and songstress, Adina.
In an interview with the producer of the show, Teddy Nannor, he noted that the night will be one to remember in the history of beauty pageants.
“It is the 20th anniversary hence we are not leaving any stone unturned; It will be the best yet. Definitely a night to remember. The finale will double as a homecoming of past queens and delegates over the last 19 years. All of them together in one night! The night couldn’t get any better,” he said.
Founded in 2002, Miss Malaika Ghana has become a prestigious beauty pageant in Ghana today. Organised by Charterhouse, the pageant has churned out a number of well-groomed ladies who are doing amazingly well in their various fields.
