The concert, an initiative by Vodafone Ghana, was exclusively put together to entertain subscribers of Vodafone X on Legon campus.

The well attended concert kicked off at 7 p.m. with Kojo Manuel as the MC and DJ Vyrusky entertaining the teeming crowd with a variety of music to set the mood for the night.

Before artistes on the bill got on stage to perform a nominee for the Unsung Artiste at the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Award, Dark Suburb, amazed the crowd with a thrilling performance. Their blend of poetry, music and dance was highly entertaining and a joy to watch.

The crowd was overjoyed when Joey B took to the stage to perform, giving them renditions of his various hit tracks. Then he began performing everyone’s favourite song, Tonga, whose  every line patrons sang along with him. The atmosphere got even more electrified when the new kid on the block, Pappy Kojo, joined Joey B on stage.

They both performed their known collaborations such as Realer No and it became quite obvious that was what the crowd was waiting to hear. The excitement with which they received the song clearly showed how well the fans had warmed up for the new kid.

The crowd kept screaming for the main act of the night, Sarkodie, and he didn’t disappoint. The energy with which Sarkodie performed was unprecedented as he performed over 10 of his songs and the patrons got exactly what they expected.

During his performance, he hinted that his new single, which features Joey B and Pappy Kojo, would drop soon and asked fans to watch out for it.

However, the over-excited crowd yearned for a taste of it and Obidi couldn’t disappoint them so he gave them a few lines from the yet-to-be-released track.
