Some residents of Adaklu Hall

Ho Poly’s Adaklu Hall Week is here again

Hall week celebrations are a fun time on most tertiary campuses, and things are not different for students of the Ho Polytechnics who are celebrating their Adaklu Hall Week, one of the halls of residents of the institution.

The ninth edition of the Adaklu Hall Week, which commenced on Friday April 8 and is still on-going, has so far been marked with a series of activities namely, a float, sports competition, health talk and karaoke night.

Today, Thursday April 14, there will be an event dubbed “Shakiti Borborbor Night” at the forecourt of the hall. Suffice it to say that it will be a night of butt-shaking and gyrating of hips and undoubtedly the campus of Ho Polytechnic will echo with the sounds of great borborbor music.

Tomorrow Friday April 15, will be the Mr & Miss Adaklu Competition, which will be followed up that very evening with a street jam.

The entire week of festivities is expected to culminate in a sleep-over trip to the Eastern Region on Saturday, April 16, where the students will lodge at the Beige Village Resort and visit tourist sites such as the Boti Falls, among others.

"So far so good, we can say this year’s Adaklu Hall Week Celebration is and surely would be a blast," a member of the Adaklu Hall Entertainment Committee told Showbiz.

"Getting sponsorship has been a major challenge over the years but we are praying to land a major sponsorship deal for our 10th anniversary next year," she added.

This 2016 Adaklu Hall Week is organised by the Adaklu Hall Entertainment Committee in pa rtnership with Verge Entertainment, PPAG Ho Poly, Sleak Entertainment, Dabi-Diamond Intel, The Ho Poly Blog and Team Cbase Ho Poly. Media partner is Volta Premier 98.1FM.
