Speaking in a telephone interview on an Accra radio station yesterday, Peter Okoye, one half of P. Square, said the show would be his last before his traditional wedding the Sunday.
"The Accra Slide & Bounce Concert will be biiiig! You would not want to miss out on my last performance as a bachelor. Come along and dance the Alingo with Paul and I," he said.
Peter weds his long-time girlfriend, Lola Omotayo at a highly- publicised traditional ceremony on Sunday, November 17. That would be barely 10 hours after the Accra concert which will parade top Nigerian and Ghanaian artistes to thrill fans with exciting music and dance.
Tonight’s Slide and Bounce bash at the Accra Sports Stadium is being described by music lovers as ‘a fitting bachelors’ night’ for the Nigerian songster, who, along with his twin brother, command a massive following in Ghana and across the continent.
MI, who headlines the show alongside P. Square, said: “Those who think the Kumasi Slide & Bounce concert was a cracker, should meet me at the Accra Sports Stadium for a rousing performance. Come and sample some catchy contemporary rap from my latest repertoire".
Ghanaian stars billed to thrill at the concert include Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Kwabena Kwabena, Sherifa Gunu and Asem.
Glo Mobile Ghana’s Head of Business, Akeem Kazeem urged interested subscribers to recharge GH¢5 on their Glo lines and SMS Accra to 5301 to get invited to the show.
He said other interested folks who did not have Glo lines should port to Glo or buy a Glo SIM and recharge with GH¢5 to get an invite. He added that new and old Glo subscribers could also get their tickets at the venue.
"The beautiful thing about this show is that it is free as subscribers can still use the GH¢5 to call, send sms and browse on the Glo network," he added.
