According to the organisers, Dream Hauz Entertainment, Osagyefo Night is aimed at not only giving young artistes a platform to celebrate the first president of Ghana but also, give patrons the opportunity to learn about the “works of Nkrumah and his contribution to the development of our dear country through music”.

Apart from music performances, the 6:00 pm show which will be hosted by Giovarni of YFM and the Late Night Celebrity show on eTV, will also feature spoken word performances from Ages Africa.

The young graduate of Ghana Telecom University has been a “crusader” for African traditional music and he has over the years not hidden his admiration for Kwame Nkrumah in his songs.

Ages Africa told Showbiz on Monday that the Osagyefo Night is “a good platform to pay homage to a man whose ideals I have been preaching in my songs. There couldn’t have been a better way than to perform in his honor”.

The PRO of Dream Hauz Entertainment, Perry Okudzeto, said his outfit is committed to preserving the legacy of Nkrumah which has had impact in world history.

“Nkrumah fought a good fight for Ghana and Africa and he needs all the honor and celebrations even after many decades of his death.

“His legacy speaks volumes of him and the younger generation must be told of his good works,” he added.
