Wendy Shay, Patapaa for Di Asa grand finale

UBER Driver hitmaker Wendy Shay and Patapaa will headline the grand finale of this year’s edition of Di Asa, which will be held on Saturday, September 28, at the Fantasy Dome inside the Trade Fair Centre in Accra.

Organised by Atinka Media Village (AMV) for plus sized women, Di Asa, which is in its third season, has generated a lot of excitement among viewers and the finale is expected to attract huge patronage.

The winner will receive a brand new salon car, the second placed winner will go home with a Mini Truck popularly known as ‘Abossey Okai Macho’ while whoever wins third place will receive a tricycle also known as ‘Aboboyaa.’ The first three winners will also go on a sponsored trip to Dubai as well as cash prizes.

Apart from Wendy Shay and Patapaa, other artistes expected to hit the stage are Article Wan, Joyce Blessing, SP Kofi Sarpong, Borax, Gasmilla, Sister Afia as well Di Asa composer Ntiamoah.

An initial 50 plus sized women were selected after auditions with the list pruned down to 25 who were evicted weekly. The winners of the show will be selected based on public votes which amounts 60 per cent while judges have a 40 percent stake.

Managing Director of AMV, Mr Albert Kwabena Dwumfour assured the public of a well organised and great show, urging the public to show up in their numbers to support.
 
He also encouraged the contestants to put up their best while he urged their families and friends to vote for their loved ones.

Mr Dwumfour added that aside the prizes which are public knowledge, there would be surprise packages and special awards for outstanding contestants.
