After taking a break for a while, Naija Levels, a radio entertainment magazine programme is back but this time on Hot FM.
Hosted by Loaded Mama since its inception five years ago, Naija Levels which used to air on Vibe FM now Live FM, has provided not only entertainment news but has also served as a platform to address the concerns of Nigerians in Ghana.
According to Loaded Mama, there was an urgent call to bring Naija Levels back on air since it was the only programme on the airwaves which championed the cause of Nigerians in Ghana. “ It served as the official mouthpiece of Nigerian news in Ghana.”
The repackaged Naija Levels hit the airwaves last Sunday evening and one of the new things is the introduction of a comedy segment with Ghana-based Nigerian comedian, Oyi of Oyi to draw in more listeners.
Also, Loaded Mama revealed that although the programme was targeted at Nigerians in Ghana, the overwhelming interest of some Ghanaians in the show by way of calling in to make contributions on the show had compelled her team to use the Twi in addition to Pidgin as the languages used on the show.
“We want our Ghanaian brothers and sisters to have a say in our issues. That is why we have introduced the Akan language to increase our listenership.
“ We have used this platform to solve disputes between Ghanaian and Nigerians and hope to do more to foster love and unity”, she added.
