The long weekend started on the evening of Thursday, April 6, when the towns on the Kwahu range— Mpraeso, Obomen, Abetifi, Atibie, Obo, among others started filling up with revellers made up of its citizens both elsewhere in the country and abroad and visitors who virtually ‘hit the ground running’—partying.

Revellers were just spoilt for choice. Music boomed at every corner and in addition to the already established spots, many pop-up drinking spots and fast-food joints emerged along the streets, where party-goers had good fun eating, drinking and dancing.

The streets of Kwahu welcomed everybody. There were various colours of hairstyles, clothes, activities, among others.
On Good Friday, Kwahu was busting at her seams, with all sorts of fun activities.

The  Kwahu Paragliding Festival started after a short opening ceremony at Atibie.
On Saturday, the Abetifi Stone Age Park was launched and in the night, Abrantie Amakyi Dede rocked the Rock City Hotel nightclub till the wee hours of Resurrection Sunday, April 9.

Highlife star Kwabena Kwabena took his turn to also jam at the same venue on Sunday.

While some revellers made their way down the range on Sunday, back to Accra or wherever they came from, others stayed on till Easter Monday to enjoy the last bits of excitement. Easter in Kwahu is and will always be lit.
